There is an increase in WhatsApp screen share scams

Take a phone call, verify the caller’s identification, and then turn the call into a video call—even if it comes from a known number. Additionally, make sure that the screen-sharing feature is never turned on. Once they get access to the screen of your smartphone, there are a lot of risks involved, not simply the possibility of losing money.
